Groups qualified to 37th Bydgoszcz Musical Impressions

The report of the sitting of the Artistic Council of the XXXVII Bydgoszcz Musical Impressions Bydgoszcz,
July 3rd, 2014.

The Artistic Council consisting of:

dr Józef Eliasz – ELJAZZ Jazz Association

having seen and heard 24 groups form 13 different countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Ireland, Latvia, Russia, Germany, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Hungary and Poland, participating in the contest we have decided to award the following statutory prizes

• For the first time we have decided to give prizes of the Artistic Council of XXXVII Bydgoszcz Musical Impressions which go to:
  Soloist - one of the members of the group Russian Style from Russsia - Dimitrii Serbul
  Soloist of the instrumental group TRADITIONAL CHINESE MUSIC ENSEMBLE OF NINGBO UNIVERSITY from China - Feng Manman
  Member of the folkloristic ensemble KUD „Doma Kulture – Nova Varos” from Serbia - Darko Prelic, who plays on the Feula (Serbian Flute)
  Conductor of  the accordion orchestra K&S ACCORDION ORCHESTRA from Ireland - Gerard Kelly
  Mixed choir JUGENDCHOR DES MUSIKGYMNASIUMS DEMMIN from Germany for the performance of Polish song “Cuckoo”

• GRAND PRIX for the best group of the
  XXXVII BYDGOSZCZ MUSICAL IMPRESIONS goes to:
  Chamber orchestra Public Musical School form  Sochaczew, manager Marita Uhlig, conductor Daniel Zieliński

With great pleasure the jury of the 37th Bydgoszcz Musical Impressions has listened to artistic programmes of ensembles participating in the current edition of the international cultural event.
Artistic skills which are nearly so good as skills of professional musicians have given the jury an opportunity to express their great respect to all managers
and conductors.
Youth Centre “Pałac Młodzieży” has prepared this really important cultural event with perfection and great heart. I would like to express our gratitude to the manager of the Youth Centre “Pałac Młodzieży” with great respect.
I would like to tell a few words to our young musicians from all over the world which could be some guide lines for them. It is a great honour to be the participant of Bydgoszcz Musical Impressions. 

An outline program

30.06.2014

• arrival of the groups until 5.00 pm (1st meal –supper)
• 3.00 pm - concert in open air stage “We invite to BIM” (Mostowa street)
• 4.00 pm - concert in open air stage “We invite to BIM” (Wyspa Młyńska)
• 8.00 pm – national meeting (dances, songs, games- all groups)

1.07.2014

• 8.30 am - 11.30 am - rehearsal to the competition part 1 (Academy of Music)
• 10.30 - 11.30 am – meeting of the leaders of folkloristic groups
• 12.00 - official meeting with the President of Bydgoszcz ( leaders of the groups)
• 1.00 pm - concert, Mostowa street, open air stage
• 2.00 pm - 4.30 pm –  concert of the folkloristic groups in open air stage
• 2.00 - 14.30 - rehearsal to the competition part 1
• 7.30 pm - parade of all participants
• 8.00 pm ceremonial inauguration of festival (greeting of all groups and concert  in Bydgoszcz  (Wyspa Młyńska)

• 8.30 am - 1.30 pm  - competition part 1 (Academy of Music)      
• 1.00 pm - concert, Mostowa street, open air stage
• 2.30 pm - 6.30 pm - rehearsal to the competition part 2 (Academy of Music)
• 4.00 pm - 7.30 pm – concert  in Bydgoszcz  (open air  stage – competition of folkloristic groups part 1
• 8.00 pm - concert in the club

3.07.2014

• 8.30 am - 1.30 pm  - competition part 2 (Academy of Music)
• 1.00 pm - concert, Mostowa street, open air stage
• 4.00 pm - 7 .30 pm – concert  in Bydgoszcz  (open air  stage- competition of folkloristic groups part 2)
• 16.30  concert in Tuchola city (near of Bydgoszcz)
• 8.30 pm - a disco

4.07.2014

• 8.00 am – 4.00 pm – rehearsal to the gala concert
• 7.00 pm – the gala concert in Opera Nova, the announcement of the verdict

5.07.2014

• departure of the participants after breakfast
